ABOUT ME

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Digital Media with a minor in Art Studio from the University of California, Davis. Before my enrollment at UC Davis, I studied Women & Gender Studies at Sacramento City College. I am passionate about using visual communication to share diverse human experiences through the medium of film and photography. 

WHAT I'VE DONE

As a UC Davis undergrad, I conducted research on the topic of black and mixed-race women's hair in American culture. In May 2020, I presented my research at the 31st Annual Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities Conference, which consisted of 1,000 UC Davis students and faculty. My research was also funded by the Provost Undergraduate Fellowship and was selected for first place in a video competition.

Computer: Adobe Premiere Pro, Bridge, Photoshop, and Abelton Live.

Camera: Proficient in analog and digital camera operations.

Communication: able to write clearly and convincingly to convey meaning and intention.

Video

A Shadow Follows(2019)

This is the first student film project I wrote, directed, edited, sound designed, and starred in. The premise of this experimental short film is based on the concept of inner duality.

  • Music Maker Jam for Windows - song composition and arrangement

Video Production Internship, Strategic Communications, UC Davis 

As a video production intern, I scheduled student interviews, wrote interview scripts, simultaneously operated camera/audio equipment while conducting interviews, and edited footage I shot to create a cohesive visual story that proudly represented UC Davis.

Shelter in Place

 

As a senior finishing up my time at UC Davis, I had to find inspiration within my home and sometimes outside of my home for a 3 month period, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. These photos are a reflection of my curiosity and investigation of the extraordinarily ordinary.
